It’s been a while and a lot has gone on since we lasted talked! Wow who would have thought, a Black president, economic disaster, the rise of the far left, the American congress gives protection to the sexual immoral and an American army officer kills his fellow soldiers. Did I mention that they still don’t want us to pray in school, or for that matter any other public place.
So “What’s Really Going On”, can we find get through this mess we have aloud to happen?
America’s Last Call, a book written by David Wilkerson in 1998, gave a prophetic warning to America, he was calling the nation to repentance, in his book he centered on three particular area’s, abortion, pornography, and homosexuality.
He warned about the insidiousness of pornography and its growing destructive influence in the lives of Christians, leading to increasing sexual degradation, deception, the occult, and apostasy. He declared the certainty that God will judge America for wantonly shedding innocent blood through abortion. And he predicted that a rising militant homosexual spirit would precipitate the timing of God’s judgment.
The form of America’s impending judgment, Wilkerson wrote, would be economic ruin. In today’s landscape, I find myself thinking about the precariousness of our financial system in light of David Wilkerson’s warnings. And I wonder if there isn’t a connection. What’s Really Going On, we have simply forsaken the commandments of the Lord. 1Kings 18:17-18, a bible verse that sheds some light on our problems in America: (17) And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? (18) And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.
This particular verse the prophet Elijah is speaking to the King Ahab about the government. Elijah’s complaint was to the king, and about government. Elijah said; "ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and you have followed Baalim.
As a young man you would never have been able to convince me that America would be in the state that she is today. We are slowly losing favor with the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.
I encourage every true believer to not only pray but, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, we may not be able to change the fate of our nation, bbut we can change the fate of individual lives.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2Chronicles 7:14
